"You are the BEST gift giver!!"
I hear it a lot, and honestly, it never gets old. Ever.
Giving gifts that make people smile, gasp, squeal with delight or (if it's really good) get a little misty is one of my all-time favorite things.
When Allison and I decided the time was right to start our online publishing endeavor, the theme of gift giving kept coming up. Finding that oh-my-gosh-I-can't-believe-it gift, and presenting it in a thoughtful, artful way is something we both take a lot of pride in. And, of course, no gift would be complete without a great celebration. Our love of event planning was the perfect complement to the gifting theme.
And so Pimlico was born. What's with the name?
Like the good anglophiles we are, we flew to London in April, 2011 for the royal wedding. While there, we packed two days with all the shopping we could do, and absolutely fell in love with Pimlico Road, home of Daylesford Organic, and other fabulous shops and cafes.
We hope you'll join us as we embark on this adventure. We're planning two issues a year: a summer publication, and a late fall/holiday edition. Please let us know if you have any comments or suggestions, and we'll do our best to inspire you with the art of giving.
